Research Interests
Broad background in the energy/petroleum industry and in Chemical Engineering Education. Broad experience in petroleum and energy technology and economics, including oil, gas, coal, alternate energy, hydrogen, and power generating technologies and associated economics. Extensive experience in management of research and development, in scenario development and application for driving business strategies, and in identifying and analyzing technology and environmental trends and their future impacts. Interested in the interactions of science, technology and society in an increasingly global environment. Education in chemical engineering/chemistry/catalysis, with in-depth research experience in catalysis and chemical reaction engineering. Interest in evolving molecular and cellular biology.
Currently involved in evaluating coal-based power generation, coal-to-fuels and petrochemicals, in increasingly global power generation and energy issues, and in India and meeting its rapidly growing electricity and energy needs.
