"Sonochemistry: Science and Engineering" by Doraiswamy and Thompson becomes a classic

 

The department has just learned that one of LK Doraiswamy's papers with Leigh Thompson ("Sonochemistry: Science and Engineering," I&EC Research 38, 1215 (1999)) has become a classic. It is the 5^th most-cited paper published in Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research over the past 10 years. Congratulations to both Leigh and LK!! The paper also ranks #76 among all papers published in all of the I&EC journals since 1975!

 

Other papers by LK have received similar recognition. His earlier paper with Sanjeev Naik on phase transfer catalysis (AIChE J 44, 612 (1998)) had been declared paper of the month by CEP and was the 2^nd-most downloaded paper of AIChE J in 2004, just after publisher Wiley made such downloads possible.
