Neary receives Iowa State outstanding marketing practice award

Chris Neary, communications specialist for the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) and Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE), was selected to receive the 2014 Iowa State University Office of University Marketing’s Outstanding Marketing Practice Award. The award recognizes his exemplary marketing efforts in the CBE Centennial Celebration.

Dr. Tom Hayes, chair and professor of marketing at Xavier University and a nationally respected higher education marketing speaker and consultant, judged competition entries. His comments on Neary’s award-winning entry included “strong use of brand, solid measurements for fundraising, and strong integration of materials and mediums.”  The award includes $500 of services from Iowa State’s Office of University Marketing to be used by June 30, 2015.

Neary will officially be recognized with the award at the Office of University Marketing’s Spring Summit on Tuesday, April 22. He will present on the successful marketing of CBE’s Centennial Celebration.
