  • Molecular Modeling and Simulation

    Our team studies the structure and dynamics of single-stranded RNA and DNA oligonucleotides, known as aptamers. We use molecular modeling and simulation to identify the fundamental mechanisms that allow nucleic acid aptamers to bind protein targets with high affinity and specificity.  We collaborate with Professor Marit Nilsen-Hamilton’s laboratory to validate our modeling efforts.

  • Engineering Education

    We work with Professor Michael Brown from the School of Education to investigate the impact of digital learning technologies on student learning and persistence in large enrollment introductory courses.
