Our laboratories occupy approximately 1300 square feet of newly-renovated space on the 1st floor of Sweeney Hall on Iowa State University campus. This space includes a wet laboratory equipped for air-free chemistry as well as a device preparation laboratory. Click on a picture below to interact.
Wet Lab
- Two new fume hoods.
- Schlenk line.
- Perkin-Elmer Lambda 650 UV-vis-NIR spectrophotometer with Integrating Sphere.
- ModularOcean Optics Jaz spectrometer for visible absorbance, photoluminescence, electroluminescence.
- Centrifuges.
- Four-port LC Technologies Glovebox with -40˚C freezer, centrifuge, and solvent purification system.
Device Lab
- Device processing fume hood with spincoater and hotplates
- Acid etch hood
- Oxygen and moisture-free glovebox system (LC Technologies) for air-sensitive device fabrication. Three separate boxes with isolated atmospheres: 1) wet chemistry and deposition (including a spincoater), 2) device fabrication with integrated thermal evaporator, 3) device testing with integrated optical table, 1000W solar simulator, heating/cooling probe station.
