‘Multiphase Reacting Flows: Modelling and Simulation’ Summary

Dr. Rodney Fox provides introduction and fundamentals of modelling approaches for polydisperse multiphase flows in “Multiphase Reacting Flows: Modelling and Simulation,” published in 2007 by Springer-Verlag New York, LLC. Topics of interest include basic notions of turbulence theory in single-phase and multiphase systems as well as the interaction between turbulence and chemistry. Models for the physical and chemical processes involved in single-phase and multiphase flows are discussed.

Dr. Rodney Fox co-writes this book with Dr. Daniele L. Marchisio, an associate professor in the Department of Applied Science and Technology at Politecnico di Torino (Italy). Dr. Marchisio also was a visiting scholar and postdoctoral research fellow at Iowa State from 1999 to 2003.
